Luxuria City Review

Our in-depth review is coming soon. Stay tuned for a firsthand look at this venue.

Club Colombia, an esteemed restaurant in Bogotá, was renowned for its dedication to traditional Colombian cuisine, set within a sprawling, ivy-covered house in the upscale El Retiro neighborhood. Founded by notable chefs Harry Sasson and Leo Katz in 2005, the establishment aimed to offer a culinary journey through Colombia's diverse flavors, served in a convivial and club-like atmosphere. The ambiance was characterized by its old-world charm, featuring lush vegetation, rich wood accents, and dim lighting that created a cozy and inviting environment, often bustling with well-heeled Bogotanos. Guests could enjoy their meals in various elegant spaces, including two large conservatory seating areas and an outdoor terrace.

The menu was a homage to ancestral Colombian recipes, focusing on hearty and authentic regional dishes that evoked a sense of history and comfort. Signature offerings included the quintessential Ajiaco, a rich chicken and potato soup, and the hearty Bandeja Paisa (or its variant, Cazuelita de frijoles). Other celebrated dishes featured Tamalitos de Pipian, Puerquitas Vallecaucanos, Envueltos de mazorca, crispy Empanadas, and the unique black "posta of Cartagena." For dessert, the Merengón was a must-try. Patrons often noted the attentive service and the overall warm, inviting dining experience. However, it is important to note that Club Colombia permanently closed in 2020 due to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The location at Calle 82 #9-11 is now occupied by "Arrogante" restaurant.
